The pumps failed at the sixth level and something came up the old rail line. It has no shape you can hold in your head. It only has appetite for light.

You are the last lamplighter. The Pilot Flame at the shaft head must still be burning in twenty-five shifts, or the whole coalfield goes dark.

• Light is a weapon. Every machine you build throws a lumen field. Anything standing in it is REVEALED and takes full damage.
• The dark is armour. Outside every lumen field the Unlit are SHROUDED — they take 45% damage, move 18% faster, and knit themselves back together.
• Sound sees through it. The Resonance Sounder reveals by echo, not by light, and ignores the shroud entirely.
• They fight back. Lightleeches drink your lamps dry. Nightcaps smother them. Snuff those first.
• Every leak dims the mine. As the Pilot Flame fails, every lumen field in the shaft shrinks with it.

Tap a machine, then tap open ground to build. Tap a built machine to upgrade it.
