WebGL border experiment 03

Greenhouse vines

The living border from the greenhouse to-do dialogs, pulled out on its own. One fragment shader on one canvas grows five leafed strands around the panel — some reading as in front of the glass, some behind it — so the frame weaves itself together without a second context or a single texture.

Panel

A rectangle, framed

The border knows nothing about what it wraps — only this panel’s rectangle, its corner radius, and how far the canvas may reach past each edge.

Whatever sits here is ordinary page content, drawn above the strands and never touched by them. Change the panel’s size and the border re-wraps it — the geometry is parametrised by arc length around the rectangle rather than cut to fit, so there is no seam to line up and no artwork to redraw.

One fragment shader · one canvas · no textures
